This 12x12 macro photo print features my Typhochlaena seladonia, commonly known as the Brazilian Jewel Tarantula.
There are colorful tarantulas, and then there is T. seladonia. The metallic blue legs, green carapace, and pink patterned abdomen look almost unreal, especially on a spider this small. Perched on cork against a dark background, this portrait highlights the tiny size, texture, and ridiculous coloration that make this species one of the most recognizable tarantulas in the hobby.
