Armadillidium maculatum - Zebra Isopods - 10+ Colony

$25.00

Armadillidium maculatum - Zebra Isopods

A starter colony of 10+ Zebra Isopods.

Zebras are one of the most recognizable isopods in the hobby, with bold black and white striping that gives them their name. They're active, hardy and tend to spend more time out in the open than many other species, which makes them especially good for display colonies.

They're also a great species for someone getting into isopods for the first time. Give them a moisture gradient, plenty of leaf litter, decaying wood and a calcium source and they'll establish readily without requiring especially complicated care.

Like other Armadillidium, they can roll themselves into a tight ball when disturbed, and once a colony gets going you'll usually find a mix of adults and juveniles tucked throughout the substrate and leaf litter.
