Rubber Duckies are easily one of the most recognizable isopods in the hobby. Their yellow faces, dark markings and rounded bodies give them the little duck-like appearance that made them famous, but there's more to them than a funny name. They're an attractive, slower-growing tropical species that can develop into a beautiful display colony when they're given the right conditions.
They appreciate a humid setup with a consistently moist area, good ventilation, deep substrate, plenty of leaf litter and decaying wood. They're more particular and slower to reproduce than many beginner species, but once established they're incredibly rewarding to keep.
