Halloween Hissing Cockroaches are close relatives of the more familiar Madagascar Hissing Cockroach, but they bring a little more color to the table. Adults develop bold orange, black and cream coloration that gives them their Halloween-inspired common name, while still having the large size, wingless body and characteristic hiss that makes this group such interesting display animals.
They're hardy, easy to maintain and especially active after dark when they'll spend more time exploring and climbing. With one adult male and two adult females, this established trio is also an excellent starting point for anyone interested in producing their own colony.
