Pandinopsis dictator - Dictator Scorpion
The Dictator Scorpion is a large, heavy-bodied West African forest species with an impressive glossy black appearance and massive pincers. Like many of the large forest scorpions, they rely heavily on those powerful pedipalps for defense and prey capture and spend much of their time tucked beneath cork bark or inside a burrow.
They're best kept on deep, moisture-retentive substrate with plenty of cover and access to fresh water. Their impressive size and prehistoric appearance make them an excellent display scorpion for anyone wanting something a little less commonly seen than the typical Asian Forest or Emperor Scorpion.
