The Red Slate Ornamental is one of the largest Poecilotheria species, developing beautiful olive-green coloration, yellow leg markings and subtle reddish tones as they mature. They're fast, athletic arboreal tarantulas with medically significant venom, but when provided with a proper retreat they're generally much more interested in disappearing into cover than confronting a disturbance.
