Selenocosmia arndsti - New Guinea Rust-Orange Tarantula
Approx. 0.25" spiderling, sold individually in a vial. This New Guinea species is a fossorial Old World tarantula that develops rich rust-orange and brown coloration as they mature. Given plenty of substrate, they'll typically construct a deep burrow and spend much of their time underground, emerging readily when prey is detected.
They're hardy and fascinating to keep, but they're also fast and defensive when disturbed, so a secure enclosure and careful maintenance are important.
