The Curly Hair is one of the hobby's classic beginner tarantulas for good reason. They're hardy, generally calm, excellent feeders and very forgiving when it comes to care. Mature specimens develop the dense, shaggy curls that give the species their name, and a large female like this makes an impressive display animal without the speed or defensive temperament of many other similarly sized species.
